July 4, 2010 my daughter Dana got engaged. I was inspired by the whole event. The 2 days following, I wrote and recorded this song. It has some flaws, but you'll get the idea. This is the bare bones recording. When I get back into my recording phase, I plan on making a better recording of this song. I call it:
"The Dana Song".
Hello Everyone and Welcome,
My guitar playing and I were separated for many years. Well, we got back together about 3 years ago and are going strong. I'm a solo acoustic guitar player/singer. When I play live, I play 85% classic rock covers. I've always been impressed by my guitar hero's, getting in front of crowds with nothing but their guitars and their voice. Don't get me wrong, I love the full sound of a band. This is just the direction I'm choosing to go for now. It was pretty rough playing in front of people at first, but now I can't get enough. My biggest influences are, just to name a few,,, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, David Gilmour, Stephen Stills, Kieth Richards, Pete Townsend, George Harrison, Jimmy Page, Eddie Vedder, Greg & Duane Allman, Lenny Kravitz,,, I could go on and on, but you get the idea. Everyone who has supported my music, it means everything to me. I want to thank everyone by name but I know I would forget someone and offend them. So,,,,,,
